1. What is Career Development Center?
Career Development Center (CDC) is a center to support Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s goals to build a mature character and prepare the students’ readiness to face the real world and its challenges.
CDC’s role is to facilitate MM Regular and undergraduate students to be ready to face challenges in the professional world when they graduate. CDC always strives to develop the students’ potentials, and directs them in terms of career development in accordance with their respective passion.
CDC also caters the need of companies for new talents.
2. What is Career Fair?
Before 2020, CDC organized two separate recruitment events for MM Regular students and undergraduate students, namely Career Day and Talent Fair.
Career Fair is an exclusive recruitment event for Universitas Prasetiya Mulya undergraduate and MM Regular students. It is a merge of Career Day and Talent Fair where companies can roll out initial interview with our students.
3. How can company participate in Career Fair?
CDC usually send proposal by email to companies that we have partnered. If you have never received any information from us, please send an email to career.s1@pmbs.ac.id or career@pmbs.ac.id.
4. What type of participations are available for company?
Company can register as regular participant. CDC and Career Fair Committee also offers sponsorship packages: Platinum, Gold, and Silver. Details are available in the proposal.
5. Career Fair is conducted online or offline?
Prior to the pandemic, CDC organized offline Career Day and Talent Fair where we provide booth and participating companies can interview the candidates directly. The first Career Fair in 2020 was held online and so will the 2nd Career Fair.
CDC hopes to be able to conduct an offline Career Fair in the future once the situation allows.
6. What is the minimum number of interviewers that must be registered by the company?
Minimum of 1 (one) interviewer.
7. Can the company only choose MMR or undergraduate candidates?
It is not allowed. Companies must choose MMR and undergraduate candidates in line with the minimum number for each interviewer.
8. Are panel interviews allowed?
Panel interviews can be done as long as the company informs the committee in advance.
9. Can the company request a virtual booth size that is different from what is specified?
No.
10. Can the company ask for resumes compilation without accessing the website?
CDC and the Career Fair Committee could send a link to a folder containing the candidates resume. But to choose the candidates for the Closed System, the participating company must do it through the Career Fair website.
11. Can the company determine which candidates are prioritized to be interviewed ?
No.
12. Can the company replace the interviewers present on the day of the Career Fair?
A company that has registered the name of an interviewer can replace it on the D-day. However, if the company will reduce the number of interviewers, the information must be submitted to the Committee 3 days before the event.
13. Can the company not participate in the open system interview?
No. All participating companies must participate in both closed and open system interviews.
14. What if a selected student is absent on D-Day?
If there are students who are absent on D-day without prior information to the CDC or committee, the candidate is declared unable to be processed in the Career Fair. If the company still wants to invite these students outside of this event, that will be the company's decision
15. What if company has different recruitment timeline?
If the company timeline is different to Career Fair, CDC also has a program called On-Campus Recruitment. It will be organized aligning to the company’s timeline.
16. If company doesn’t participate in Career Fair, can the company have the students’ resumes?
